Vail
The veterans of the 10th Mountain Division who first identified Vail as a ski mountain certainly had a great eye for detail. This is a massive ski area, and no matter how many days you ski Vail, or how many runs you make on those days, you'll always be ready to come back for more. This mountain will stay interesting every day, forever.
Did we mention massive? Vail is over 5,200 acres of skiing, served by 34 lifts that can move over 50,000 skiers per hour uphill. The lift capacity to handle a crowd doesn't mean you'll find one. On an average day Vail has about 4 skiers per acre. The longest run stretches four miles, and there is great skiing for every ability level. Bowl skiing, glades, open cruiser corduroy, terrain parks and over 350 inches of snow each year. When you say you're going to Vail, nobody ever asks 'What for?' This is Ski Central
Vail is a full service resort with a reputation as big as the ski mountain. Conference and convention casual vacation, or adventure travel can all be accommodated by the professional staff, and world class facilities. A burger one day or gourmet dining the next, shopping, and nightlife are all contained within the villages of Vail Resort.
If you are reading this because Vail is the destination for your next vacation - congratulations!
